SafeComs collects personal information
including but not limited to
names, contact details and billing
information. Data will always
be collected with the users
consent, through a visible mechanism.
Use and Disclosure
Personal information is used
for numerous purposes including;
notifying you of updates in
the security industry, accountability
(legal requirements) and statistical
analysis. Individual pages will
document more specifically the
exact purpose for which data
is being collected.
Unless requested by the individual
or organization, we do not disclose
any of their details to other
persons or organizations. Our
only exception to this rule
would be in the case of a court
order to release such details.
Data Quality and Correction
SafeComs appreciates the values
of up-to-date and correct information
and aim to achieve this through
both data integrity is checking
upon collection through basic
form validation and allowing
members access to a means of
updating their information
Members of the VICTOR Online
Portal have access to update
and view all personal details
through the update details page
of the member's portal. Non-members
of the VICTOR Online Portal
can update personal information
by contacting SafeComs at privacy@safecoms.com.
Data Security
SafeComs regards your personal
information with the highest
regard and as such applies reasonable
and appropriate measures to
protect your data, these measure
include physical and electronic
security. Where security cannot
be guaranteed encryption is
used to protect your information
from unauthorized access.
Openness
SafeComs stores no personal
information which is restricted
from your access. Access to
this information is available
through either the VICTOR Online
Portal or by contacting privacy@safecoms.com.
Identifiers
Whilst government identifiers
such as Australian Company and
Business Numbers are collected
by SafeComs these values will
never be used for the purpose
of individual identification.
Anonymity
Anonymous access to the SafeComs
and associated websites is available
for general browsing however
to ensure appropriate use of
the VICTOR suite of tools users
must be authenticated prior
to access of these tools.
Transborder Data Flows
SafeComs may share your personal
details with affiliated partners
both within Australia and abroad.
It is a requirement of SafeComs
that partners will treat your
details with the same respect
and concern for security that
we do.
Sensitive Information
As a leader in the security
industry SafeComs treats all
personal information as extremely
sensitive and always apply appropriate
security measures.
